This is a soda ad idea for a personal portfolio project for PULZ. The mixture of frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation, 2D motion design, and typography animation presented a real challenge, yet it was fun to execute. This formulation of a new workflow marries a hybrid multimedia approach.
The portability of the iPad and Procreate Dreams made the process accessible anywhere and anytime. With simple frame-by-frame animation of the hands and the pouring soda, working on the iPad proved to be a remarkably efficient way to spend less time staring vigorously at a PC monitor. However, the final post-production and motion design were completed on a PC using After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

PRE-PRODUCTION
These images represent the early stages of production. To execute the desired look—even for a simple advertisement—a storyboard is essential for visualization and for mapping out how movements will flow. The animatic on the left serves as the primary timing guide for the final animation.
THE SODA BOTTLE
The soda bottle is a hand-painted 2D asset, with a layout designed to create depth and volume. By combining a moving logo, textures, and masking, a 3D-like movement was achieved. The physical displacement was created through position and rotation animation, while the hand holding the bottle was drawn frame-by-frame to match the bottle's motion perfectly.
